The project is organized in four interlinked sub-projects. Sub-project I ‘technology assessment’ identifies optimal sites around the world for operation DACCS based on techno-economic analysis and sustainability assessment. Sub-project II ‘device research,’ develops several technical DACC options and prepares their large-scale implementation. Sub-project III ‘transformational studies’ conducts stakeholder analysis and technology acceptance analyses, and investigates the current and required regulatory framework to enable a sustainable ramp-up. In addition, this sub-project develops a roadmap for a broad roll-out in Germany. Sub-project IV ‘communication, dissemination and exploitation’ focuses on knowledge and technology transfer and bidirectional communication with key stakeholders from industry, politics and the public via the DACStorE Transformation Hub.
