Change at DACStorE: Prof. Linßen Succeeds Prof. Stolten

As of March 1st, 2024, there is a change in leadership at DACStorE: Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jochen Linßen takes over as Acting Director at the ICE-2 institute and Interim Lead of the DACStorE Project, succeeding Prof. Dr. Detlef Stolten, who is retiring after a long and distinguished career.

Prof. Stolten has led ICE-2, then IEK-3, since 1998 and has played a pivotal role in advancing research in electrochemical energy engineering. His expertise spans fuel cell technologies, electrolysis, and system analysis for Germany’s energy transition.

Prof. Linßen has a strong background in techno-economic modeling, energy infrastructure, sector coupling, and hydrogen research. His work has contributed significantly to the development and coordination of international research projects on hydrogen systems and energy storage.

We express our deepest gratitude to Prof. Stolten for his contributions and leadership over the years! At the same time, we look forward to the future of DACStorE under Prof. Linßen’s leadership.
